Italian football expert Mina Rzouki has suggested that Romelu Lukaku would prefer to stay at Inter amid Chelsea speculation
There has been alot of rumours in the media over the past few days which have suggested that Lukaku is now the number one transfer target for Chelsea and they are prepared to pay massive money to get a deal done.
However, there is also alot of talk that Inter do not really want to sell, and will only do that if they get big money, and Lukaku is also keen to stay in Seria A after impressing over the last few seasons.
And Rzouki has ben speaking about him possibly making a move back to Chelsea, suggesting that he would prefer to stay in Italy, She was quoted on Sky Sports: “It’s a really difficult one because Chelsea seem really intent on getting their man. It’s hard to see him going back to the Premier League after everything he’s built at Inter Milan. He’s previously spoken about how in England he hasn’t found a place where he’s been truly appreciated, and where he’s been criticised quite often.
“At Inter, he’s seen very much as the hero and the man behind Inter breaking Juventus’ nine-year stronghold on the Scudetto. He was the ideal player for Antonio Conte’s tactics, and he really developed and grew as a player on every level.
“It would seem rather weird if he left that all behind. But then there is always that desire to return in order to show people that perhaps they underestimated you. I just feel he’s always been a fan of Inter, he has an Italian agent and he’s learnt the language. There are as many reasons for him wanting to stay put.”
This is a big story so it will be interesting to see just how this all plays out in the coming weeks
