Thomas Tuchel is reportedly interested in signing Tariq Lamptey if Chelsea cannot sign Achraf Hakimi this transfer window.
Tuchel is the man of the moment right now and is on top of the world after helping the club reach that top four spots and then add another Champions League trophy to that cabinet.
But despite all the quality players that the club currently have in the side, there has been talk for weeks that Thomas Tuchel is looking to improve the squad in key areas of the pitch and was hoping to be backed by the board
Recent reports in the media have claimed that Tuchel is keen to bring Achraf Hakimi to the Premier League to provide competition for Reece James, but with Inter demanding alot of money for the player, they could make a move for Tariq Lamptey
Lamptey decided to leave the club after failing to establish himself at the Bridge, but since his move to Brighton, he has developed into one of the best attacking right-sided defenders in the Premier League.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Lamptey over the past few months, but his £40 million asking price may be a bit too high for the Gunners, which opens the door for Chelsea to bring back the exciting player.
There are not too many players in the Premier League that gets fans very excited, but Lamptey is one of this stars. He has developed very nicely over at Brighton and is now ready to make an impact at a club like Chelsea.
If Tuchel wants a challenge for Reece James, then Lamptey could be their man.
