We bring you last week’s top performances from Poles who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.
   #1. This week’s number one is an experienced former international guard David Logan (184-82, college: Indianapolis, currently plays in Italy). He was the major contributor in Treviso‘s victory against the closely-ranked Brescia (3-3) 94-91 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night’s game.
Logan scored 23 points and added 7 passes in 31 minutes on the court.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. De Longhi Treviso Basket 2012 (3-3) is placed second in the Serie A.
It was his team’s third consecutive victory in a row.
Logan has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 19.6ppg, 2.6rpg, 3.2apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 56.2%(68-121), 3FGP: 39.3% and FT: 75.0% in 17 games he played so far.
Logan is a naturalized American.
He played for the Polish senior national team twelve years ago.
Logan used to play for WTK Anwil Wloclawek in Polish league.

   #2. Second place goes to an international shooting guard A.J. Slaughter (191-87, agency: BeoBasket, college: WKU, currently plays in EuroCup). Slaughter led his Spanish team Gran Canaria to a victory against the second-ranked Andorra (2-2) 79-74 in the Eurocup on Wednesday night.
He recorded 17 points in 28 minutes.
Herbalife Gran Canaria (1-3) is placed fourth in group H.
They ended the series of three consecutive loses.
There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Top 16. So now every game will be critical.
It’s Slaughter’s first season with the team.
Slaughter has very impressive stats this year: 16.5ppg, 2.0rpg, 3.8apg, 2FGP: 64.3%(18-28), 3FGP: 48.5%(16-33) and FT: 78.9% in six games.
He is a naturalized American.
Slaughter is in the roster of the Polish senior national team. Strangely he has never played in Poland.

   #3. The Polish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Tomasz Gielo (205-93, college: Ole Miss, currently plays in EuroCup) faced previously mentioned A.J. Slaughter in the Eurocup last game.
Gielo. He could not help Andorra (2-2) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Gielo’s very good performance the second-placed Andorra (2-2) was defeated 79-74 at home by the lower-ranked Gran Canaria (#4) in the group H of Eurocup.
He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Gielo also added 3 passes.
There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Top 16. So now every game is very crucial.
Gielo’s overall stats this season are: 8.6ppg, 2.6rpg, 2FGP: 43.8%, 3FGP: 37.7% and FT: 87.5%.
He is also a member of the Polish senior national team.
   #4. Forward Mateusz Ponitka (198-93, currently plays in Euroleague) was not able to help one of league’s weakest teams one of league’s weakest teams Zenit in their game against Fenerbahce (14-10) in the Euroleague.
Ponitka scored only 4 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
Zenit was defeated 92-84 on the road by the higher-ranked Fenerbahce (#6).
It was Zenit’s third consecutive loss in a row.
Ponitka’s overall stats this season are: 8.2ppg, 4.7rpg and 3.3apg.
He is also Polish national team player.

   #5. International swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92, currently plays in Italy) is a teammate of previously mentioned David Logan and both played together in the last Italian Serie A game.
Sokolowski contributed to a 3-point Treviso‘s victory against the closely-ranked Brescia (3-3) 94-91.
He scored 13 points and added 6 passes in 33 minutes.
Sokolowski has relatively good stats this year: 12.3ppg, 4.5rpg and 2.4apg in 13 games.
He plays currently for the Polish national team.

   #6. Swingman Michal Michalak (196-93, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for MBC (2-1) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Michalak’s very good performance MBC was defeated 95-80 in Bamberg by the lower-ranked Brose (#4).
He was the top scorer with 19 points.
This season Michalak has very high stats. He averages: 20.3ppg, 4.0rpg and 2.9apg.
Michalak is an international player who is currently on the senior Polish National Team roster.

   #7. Former international guard Marcel Ponitka (194-97, currently plays in VTB United League) couldn’t help one of league’s weakest teams Parma (5-8) in their last game. Despite his good performance Parma was edged 72-69 on their home court in Perm by the higher-ranked (#8) Khimki.
Ponitka scored 12 points in 27 minutes. It was his first game for Parma this season.
Ponitka used to play for the Polish national team
three years ago.

   #8. Forward Adam Waczynski (199-89, currently plays in Spain) couldn’t help one of league’s weakest teams one of league’s weakest teams Unicaja Malaga (10-2) in their game against Valencia Basket (19-1) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Despite his good performance in Sunday night’s game He recorded 10 points.
Waczynski is one of the most experienced players in a team as it’s his fifth year in Unicaja Malaga’s roster.
Waczynski’s overall stats this season are: 8.7ppg and 1.8rpg.
He used to play for the Polish national team
back in 2019.
   #9. International center Aleksander Balcerowski (217-0, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned A.J. Slaughter. But that was another game of his team in Spanish Liga Endesa which we would like to mention.
Balcerowski couldn’t help Gran Canaria in their game against Real Madrid (19-1).
He recorded 7 points.
Gran Canaria was edged 81-80 in Madrid by the leading Real.
Balcerowski’s overall stats this season are: 4.9ppg and 2.4rpg.
He is also in the roster of the Polish national team.

   #10. Small forward Jaroslaw Zyskowski (203-92, currently plays in Spain) couldn’t help Bilbao (4-17) in their game against Blusens Monbus (7-10) in the Spanish Liga Endesa.
Zyskowski recorded 6 points.
The bottom-ranked Bilbao was defeated 80-72 in Santiago de Comp by the higher-ranked Blusens Monbus (#13).
It was Bilbao’s fourth consecutive loss in a row.
Zyskowski’s overall stats this season are: 8.7ppg and 2.3rpg.
He is an international player who is currently on the senior Polish National Team roster.

   #11. Former international forward Mathieu Wojciechowski (200-92, currently plays in France) couldn’t help Le Portel in their game against Monaco in the French Jeep ELITE ProA. Wojciechowski cannot count Saturday’s game as one of the best ones.
He scored only 3 points in 21 minutes.
His team was crushed by 22 points 82-60.
This year Wojciechowski’s overall stats are: 5.8ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.3apg in four games.
He used to play for the Polish national team
two years ago.

   #12. Former U16 international swingman Piotr Pandura (197-95, currently plays in Holland) couldn’t help Hague in their game against Feyenoord in the Dutch DBL.
He recorded 5 points in 24 minutes.
His team was crushed by 22 points 68-46.
This year Pandura’s total stats are: 4.3ppg and 1.5rpg in four games.
He used to play for the Polish U16 national team
back in 2011.

   #13. Former U16 international forward Szymon Wojcik (206-99, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn’t help the one of league’s weakest teams UMBC in their game against the New Jersey Institute of Technology in the NCAA. Wojcik cannot count Sunday’s game as one of the best ones.
He recorded only 3 points.
His team was defeated 69-65.
Wojcik has averaged so far 1.1ppg and 1.4rpg.
He used to play for the Polish U16 national team
six years ago.

   #14. Former international forward Maciej Bender (211-97, currently studies in the States) couldn’t help the Mercer in their game against the East Tennessee State University in the NCAA. Bender cannot count Wednesday’s game as one of the best ones.
He recorded only 2 points in 5 minutes on the court.
His team lost 64-70.
This year Bender has relatively solid stats: 10.9ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.5bpg in 17 games.
He used to play for the Polish national team
back in 2016.

The list of other players, who all have Polish passport but never been selected to any of Polish national teams:

   #1. Yovel Zoosman (200-G/F-98, currently plays in Israel) was the major contributor in a Maccabi T-A‘s victory against the 11th-ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (3-8) 85-69 in a derby game in the Israeli Winner League last Sunday.
He recorded 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv (9-2) is placed first in the Winner League.
It’s Zoosman’s sixth season with the team.
Zoosman’s overall stats this year are: 6.0ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.4apg.
He has a dual citizenship: Polish and Israeli.

   #2. David Brembly (197-G/F-93, currently plays in Germany) could not help one of league’s weakest teams MBC (2-1) in their last game. Despite Brembly’s very good performance MBC lost 92-104 at home to the leading ratiopharm Ulm.
He was the top scorer with 22 points. Brembly also added 5 rebounds in 24 minutes.
This year Brembly’s overall stats are: 7.7ppg and 2.3rpg in 15 games he played so far.
He is another player who holds two passports: Polish and German.
Despite Brembly’s Polish nationality, he previously played for the German university national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Polish team.

   #3. Juan Pablo Vaulet (198-SF-96, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help La ICL Manresa in their game against Burgos (15-6) in the Spanish Liga Endesa.
Vaulet recorded 9 points in 34 minutes.
But La ICL Manresa lost 87-101 on the road to the higher-ranked (#5) Burgos.
This year Vaulet’s overall stats are: 8.4ppg and 4.2rpg in 21 games.
He has both Polish and Argentinian nationalities.

   #4. Nimrod Tishman (197-PG-91, agency: Avi Zilberman, currently plays in Israel) was not able to secure a victory for M.Rishon (5-6) in their game against Ironi Nahariya (2-10) in the Israeli Winner League.
Tishman scored 7 points in 15 minutes.
M.Rishon was edged 93-91 on their home court in Rishon Le-Zion by the one of league’s weakest teams (#12) Ironi Nahariya.
This year Tishman’s overall stats are: 2.5ppg, 1.4rpg and 2.4apg in eight games.
He also holds two passports: Polish and Israeli.
Despite Tishman’s Polish nationality, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and probably cannot be called to the Polish team.

   #5. Gal Gilinski (195-PG-95, also represented by Avi Zilberman, currently plays in Israel) couldn’t help Ironi Nahariya (2-10) in their game against M.Rishon (5-6) in the Israeli Winner League.
Gilinski recorded 6 points and added 4 passes.
Ironi Nahariya was crushed 110-88 in Rishon Le-Zion by the higher-ranked M.Rishon (#9).
It was Ironi Nahariya’s fifth consecutive loss in a row.
Gilinski’s total stats this season are: 2.4ppg and 1.2apg.
He has dual citizenship: Polish and Israeli.
Despite Gilinski’s Polish passport, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team.

   #6. Julian Jasinski (201-C/F-96, currently plays in Germany) led SparkassenStars to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Rist Wedel 100-84 in the German ProB (third division) last Saturday.
Jasinski recorded 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 30 minutes.
This year Jasinski’s total stats are: 4.3ppg and 4.4rpg in 11 games.
He holds both Polish and German passports.

   #7. Experienced Jakub Coulibaly (198-F-3, currently plays in Spain) led Unicaja-Andalucia to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked CAM Enrique Soler 2nd team 78-63 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) on Saturday night.
Coulibaly scored 14 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks.
Coulibaly’s total stats this season are: 5.8ppg and 2.9rpg.
