Diallo arrives for pictures, United told to sign Haaland, Cicedo has so much to offer, Diallo admits dream to sign with United in Manchester United roundup…
South American football expert Tim Vickery has said Manchester United target Moises Caicedo has so much to offer
Caicedo has made 31 appearances for Independiente, scoring six goals. He made his international debut for Ecuador in October and has gone on to earn four caps since.
In October, Caciedo became the first player born in the 21st century to ever score in CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying with a goal in Ecuador’s 4-2 win over Uruguay, and is starting to attract all sorts of interest from around the globe.
Manchester United have been linked with the player over the past few weeks, but it is Brighton that are seemingly winning the race to get the man signed up, and amid the speculation, Vickery has claimed that the midfielder has so much to offer
He told Sky Sports: “This time last week, I was telling you it was going to be Manchester United based on what the sources in Ecuador were saying. I will now defer to my default position of only making predictions after the event! If it is Brighton, then United’s loss is Brighton’s gain.
“Caicedo is a terrific player. Independiente del Valle are a small club that continue to exist based on developing players in order to sell them. They do it unbelievably well, bringing in top class Spanish youth coaches to develop their players. Caicedo made stepping into the first team at his club and with his national team look like a breeze in 2020.
“He’s a box-to-box midfielder, a terrific athlete who is cool in possession. He’s not a wizard, not a glamorous player but he’s got so much to offer.”
Amad Diallo has announced that it is a dream come true to sign with Premier League giants Manchester United.
Diallo is one of the most highly-rated players in Seria A and Man Utd opted to spend some serious money in last summers transfer window to bring the young man to the club, although he did not complete his move to the club until the January window.
Diallo expressed his excitement after being unveiled at Old Trafford on Wednesday before outlining his ambitions for both domestic and European success in the famous red shirt: “I’m over the moon to be here. I’m so excited to start here at Manchester United. It’s a dream come true and I can’t wait to start and play with the guys,” he told United’s official website.
“I’m a little bit too anxious to say this given it’s just the start [of my time here] but my dream is to win the Premier League and the Champions League with Manchester United. That is my aim and goal.
Diallo has been in regular contact with fellow Ivorian Eric Bailly, and he also thinks that Paul Pogba will have a key role to play in helping him to settle into his new surroundings over the next few months.
“Eric will be a definite reference point for me. I’ve actually already been in touch with him over the last few months and we’ve been chatting,” he said.
“I’ll be asking him for advice and will be listening to all he says, and also the other players who speak French and Italian like [Paul] Pogba for example, he will be another good reference point for me.”
Manchester United must do whatever it takes to sign Erling Haaland, Michael Owen has told the club.
There is no doubt that Haaland is already one of the most talked about players in world football, and already has 19 goals to his name for the German outfit, which is attracting all sorts of interest form some of the games biggest clubs
Man Utd have been linked with a move for the young man over the last few months, and they have been told that they need to do whatever it takes to bring Haaland to Old Trafford, Owen told Stadium Astro: “At the moment, Manchester United have struggled to find that young player that’s going to take them all the way as a No 9.
“I think the one player out there that springs to mind that could be that type of player that could last for 10 years in their team and to stop them having to keep buying stop-gaps all the time is Haaland at Dortmund.
“I think he’s the player on everybody’s lips at the moment, so he is one player that I think could potentially be the No 9 that could last a long time.
“If he had an open cheque book, if I was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, I’d be playing [Rashford, Martial and Greenwood] in wider positions, and I’d probably try and buy someone like Haaland because that’s the future of your team for about 10 years.”
New signing Amad Diallo has arrived at Carrington as he begins his career at Manchester United.
The Ivorian has barely featured for the Serie A side this season as United wanted to ensure he would be fit and hadn’t sustained a long-term injury by the time he was due to arrive in the north-west, but there are many out there that firmly believe he will become a top player in the coming seasons.
Just 18 years old, Diallo has a bright future in the game and could eventually cost United up to £37million, if certain clauses are met, and now he has officially arrived at the club after his move was confirmed last week.
He was at the Red Devils’ training ground to be shown around, pose for photographs, and conduct interviews, as many meet the young man that has been tipped to become one of the very best players in the game.
Rio Ferdinand was already excited by the look of Diallo after watching clips of the winger but the former England captain recently said discussions with staff at the club have confirmed his belief that the Ivorian could become a ‘world beater’.
“We just bought a kid in from Atalanta and hopefully he does something [to boost United’s season],” Ferdinand told the FIVE YouTube channel.
“If you see his clips and speak to some of the people at the club that were involved in buying him…. potentially this kid could be an absolute world beater.
“I think that’s the thoughts of Manchester United people that they’ve unearthed…. I’m not going to give him that pressure of Cristiano Ronaldo but nobody knew about Ronaldo when we bought him really other than people in Portugal.
“This kid seems quite similar in that sense; if you see his clips and the way people talk about him then I think the world is his oyster if he applies himself right.”
There is alot of excitement around the young man and he wont even be featuring in the first team just yet. We just hope that there is not too much excitement, and it gets to him.
