International Center Mathias Lessort (205-C-95, agency: BeoBasket) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Monaco and that’s him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 25-year old center had a double-double of 21 points and twelve rebounds, while his team edged out Orleans (#11, 4-6) 86-85. Monaco maintains the 3rd position in French Jeep ELITE ProA. They are still close to the very top. Monaco would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-1 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Lessort as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Lessort has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in rebounds (5th best: 7.0rpg) and averages solid 63.8% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was 26-year old French Jerry Boutsiele (207-C/F-94) of Limoges. Boutsiele impressed basketball fans with 26 points and 4 rebounds. Bad luck as Limoges lost that game 75-84 to slightly higher-ranked ASVEL (#6, 6-3). Limoges managed to keep the same 8th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 5-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Boutsiele is one of the most experienced players at Limoges and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.2ppg (#6). He also registered 7.2 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was former international center Moustapha Fall (216-C-92) of ASVEL (#6). Fall scored 19 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of ASVEL, leading his team to a 84-75 win against slightly lower-ranked Limoges (#8, 5-5). ASVEL needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 3 lost games. Fall has a great season in France. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in rebounds with 6.9rpg (6th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
