An official announcement was made by the Phoenix Brussels‘ staff last week: the club from the Belgian capital and Terry Deroover (178-PG-91) have reached an agreement for next season. The Belgian point guard, born in Jette (a suburb of Brussels), will play for Phoenix Brussels Basketball in 2021-22. He will also become the Technical Director of the Phoenix Talent Academy, the club’s youth basketball program.
Terry Deroover plays for Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen in the current season. He has averaged 10 points, 1.8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals for the Kangoeroes in the EuroMillions League 2020-21 so far. He also played for BC Carnieres, BBC Kangoeroes Boom, Stella Artois Leuven Bears, Kangoeroes Basket Willebroek and Liege Basket in the past. Terry Deroover, aged 29, was also regularly selected in Belgium’s U16, U18 and U20 national team from 2007 to 2011. He won the Belgian All-Star Game 3-point shootout contest in 2020.
