Here is the weekly review of the top performing Georgian players, who play currently abroad.
   #1. This week’s number one is an experienced international guard Thaddus McFadden (188-87, agency: Higher Vision Sports, college: Fairmont St., currently plays in Basketball Champions League). He led his Spanish team Burgos to a victory over the closely-ranked Brindisi (1-1) crushing them 93-71 in the Basketball Champions League last Wednesday.
McFadden was MVP of the game. He scored 21 points and added 3 assists.
San Pablo Inmobiliaria Miraflores Burgos (1-1) is placed third in group H.
There are only four games left until the end of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
McFadden has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.5ppg, 1.5rpg, 3.5apg, 2FGP: 42.9%, 3FGP: 47.1%(8-17) and FT: 87.5%.
McFadden is a naturalized American.
He is currently a member of the Georgian senior national team. Strangely McFadden has never played in Georgia.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Giorgi Shermadini (217-89, currently plays in Spain). He contributed to an CB Canarias‘ victory against the closely-ranked Valencia Basket (12-0) 95-89 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night.
Shermadini scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 26 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Iberostar Tenerife CB Canarias (10-1) is placed second in the Liga Endesa.
It was his team’s fourth consecutive victory in a row.
Shermadini has very impressive stats this year: 17.1ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 66.3%(63-95) and FT: 89.9% in 11 games he played so far.
He is in the roster of the Georgian senior national team.
   #3. The Georgian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international guard Jacob Pullen (183-89, college: Kansas St., currently plays in ABA League). Pullen was the main contributor in a Mornar Bar‘s victory against the eighth-ranked Split (3-5) 95-87 in the ABA League in Saturday night’s game.
He was the best player in that game. Pullen scored 27 points (!!!) and added 3 passes (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line).
KK Mornar Basket Bar (6-1) is placed second in the ABA League.
It was his team’s fourth consecutive victory in a row.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
Pullen has relatively good stats this year: 12.7ppg, 1.4rpg, 2.9apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 58.6%(17-29), 3FGP: 39.3% and FT: 95.7%(22-23).
He is a naturalized American.
Pullen played for the Georgian national team five years ago.
Apparently he has never played in Georgia.

   #4. Forward Tornike Shengelia (206-91, agency: Wasserman, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to CSKA‘s victory against the ninth-ranked Zalgiris (5-5) 87-78 in the Euroleague last Tuesday.
Shengelia scored 7 points, made 4 passes and 3 steals in 25 minutes.
CSKA Moscow (7-3) is placed second in the Euroleague.
It was his team’s fifth consecutive victory in a row.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
This year Shengelia’s overall stats are: 8.9ppg, 5.7rpg and 2.6apg in 10 games.
He used to play for the Georgian national team
back in 2018.
   #5. Former international point guard Taurean Green (184-85, agency: Green Sports Management, college: Florida, currently plays in Poland) could not help BM Slam Stal (8-6) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Green’s good performance BM Slam Stal was badly defeated 105-85 on the road by the leading Zastal Enea BC.
He scored 12 points and added 3 passes.
It’s Green’s first season with the team.
Green’s total stats this year are: 7.9ppg, 2.1rpg, 5.8apg and 1.3spg.
He is a naturalized American.
Green used to play for the Georgian national team
ten years ago.
Interesting that he has never played in Georgia.

   #6. Power forward Beqa Burjanadze (201-94, currently plays in EuroCup) managed to help Herbalife Gran Canaria in a victory against the third-ranked Cedevita Olimpija (4-3) 90-82 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night’s game.
Burjanadze scored only 2 points in 15 minutes.
Herbalife Gran Canaria (6-2) is placed first in group D.
There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
This year Burjanadze’s total stats are: 3.7ppg and 2.4rpg in seven games.
He is an international player who is currently on the senior Georgian National Team roster.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Georgian passport:

   #1. Experienced Will Thomas (203-F-86, currently plays in Euroleague) led his Russian team Zenit to a victory over the 15th-ranked ALBA Berlin (2-6) 73-66 in the Euroleague in Friday night’s game.
He was MVP of the game. Thomas recorded 17 points and grabbed 5 rebounds (made all of his six free throws) in 24 minutes.
Zenit Sankt Petersburg (5-2) is placed sixth in the Euroleague.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
This year Thomas averages: 7.6ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.6apg in seven games he played so far.
He is a naturalized American.
Thomas used to play for Army Sport Klub Tbilisi in Georgian league.
